Beluga Whales are part of the Dolphin family or tooth
whales. They are called the canary whales as they make
chirps and squeaks in a kind of chatter. They are a
social whale and sometimes travel in groups of several
hundred. They are native to the arctic and their favorite
foods are \salmon and crabs. They travel to shallow
gravel beds to get rid of their skin which has parasites
by rolling in the gravel. Sometimes they get stranded
and grizzly and polar bears love to feast on them.

Finback whales are the second largest whale in the
world growing to some 80 feet or more in length and
weighing over 150 tons. They are a plankton feeder
and dive deep during the day to feast on small krill.
Sometimes they dive to depths over 1000 feet and
have a cruising speed of 25 to 30 MPH. Finbacks are
very streamlined making their attacks at high speed
very easy.
